Training Center "SOLAS"

Maritime Training Center "SOLAS" is a structural branch of Kaliningrad Marine College of Fishing Industry. The center is equipped with modern simulators, teaching aids and materials in accordance with IMO guidelines and national requirements. The Center has been established in order to provide training courses to professional seafarers in conditions close to real, in accordance with the requirements of the International Convention STCW-78/95, ISM Code and in accordance with existing curricula and programs.

Baltic Fishing Fleet State Academy

The Baltic Fishing Fleet State Academy is the separate structural unit of the large educational complex called "Kaliningrad State Technical University". The training at the Academy is conducted at the following levels:

• primary vocational education - at Kaliningrad Maritime Fishing College;
• secondary vocational education - at Kaliningrad Maritime Fishing College;
• higher education - 4 faculties of the Academy , the Institute of Applied Economics and Management;
• postgraduate education - at the Institute of professional pedagogy which conducts training at the levels of postgraduate and additional professional pedagogical education.

There is also Baltic Centre for Professional Maritime Education which conducts professional training of maritime specialists on a wide range of programmes including the improvement of qualification.

Makarov Training Center

Makarov Training Centre which started its work in 1995 integrated the advantages of the Academy's teaching experience and traditions with the strategy of the rapid development and immediate response to the market needs cultivated by the staff of the training Centre. Courses suggested to your attention are divided into 3 categories:

1. Training and certification in compliance with "mandatory" programmes, required by the new edition of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping for Seafarers (STCW-78/95) such as GMDSS, ARPA etc.
2. Training in compliance with "non-mandatory" programmes connected with traffic control, safe management and pollution prevention (ISM-code, VTS, Bridge Team Management, etc.) for the personnel of the ships and shipping companies.
3. Specialized courses aimed at training personnel for definite types of ships, equipment or other courses at request of the shipowners, crewing companies and other organizations.

"Marine Systems" was founded in 1997. The center is approved by the Commission for Education Saint-Petersburg Government Committee as the establishment of additional professional education providing training of seafarers in accordance with national and international requirements.

Regional Training Center

The Regional Center of Extended Maritime Professional Training (RCEMPT) was established in the MSU named after adm. G.I. Nevelskoy in conformity with the order of the Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation (No MF 34/1375 dated 18/07/1997) in order to make the system of training, retracing and upgrading of maritime personnel of the Far Eastern Region in compliance with the requirements of the STCW International Convention and Education Statutory Acts. At present the RCEMPT realizes all kinds of training of the personnel for the maritime industry. The center offers more than 170 programs in training and retraining of the seafarers. It also conducts all types of simulator training of seafarers in compliance with the STCW requirements.

PRISCO Company

The PRISCO Company takes care of its personnel training and has its own Training Centre. The main line of PRISCO Training Centre (PTC) activity is to meet the needs of the shipping industry by providing the training in accordance with modern requirement. PTC complies with the requirements of the Regulation I/12 of the Convention STCW 1978, as amended and it is fully certified by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation that equipment of classrooms for theoretical training, outfit of simulators, simulator system and practical training facilities, material support, documentation, training and methodological basis of the centre, instructors strength and competence comply with STCW requirements to Training Centres running the professional training for crew members of maritime ships and may issue appropriate certificates to ship personnel. PTC is also ready to offer over 20 non-mandatory bespoke courses to meet specific requirements of PRISCO Company as well as of other ship owners.

SCF Novoship Training Centre

"SCF Novoship Training Centre" (hereinafter referred to as Training Centre) render services in the sphere of primary and extended professional education, upgrade qualification and crew members' retrain. Training Centre works in full accordance with a License for Educational Activities. To practise the participants' skills special training on modern simulators is included in the training programs. Training Centre is equipped with the following simulators: navigational ones, of ER, cargo and ballast operations, Global Maritime Distress and Safety System, a cargo tank simulator, ECDIS simulator with nine work places and a well-equipped room for medical training.
